The BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General along with the BC Crime Prevention Association would like to invite your community to join us in participating in Crime Prevention Week 2009. This is an annual public awareness campaign held during the first week of November to encourage community involvement in crime prevention education and awareness.

Each day of the week will feature a tip sheet that will focus on a specific crime prevention topics. During the week community groups and police detachments are encouraged to hold a public event designed to promote one of the crime prevention strategies in their own communities.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to budget restraints, the Crime Prevention Event Grants will not be available in 2009.

2009 Crime Prevention Week Topics
For each day of Crime Prevention Week we will focus on a different topic:

• November 4 - Vulnerable Adults: Prevention of Abuse and Neglect
• November 5 - 2010 Fraud Awareness Program
