As part of its mandate under the Crime Shield program to provide the public with the tools they need to protect themselves from criminal activity and to promote education and awareness, the BC Crime Prevention Association offers workshops, lectures and presentations on the following topics:

Fees
BC Crime Prevention Association is a non-profit body but seeks to offset its operating expenses for presentations and workshops through (a) modest honorariums and (b) mileage reimbursement (under certain circumstances***)
Scale of fees:
- Police and civilian employees (Crime Prevention Practitioners, Community Policing volunteers) FREE
- Non-profit groups** $150
- Corporate $500
Multiple and/or repeat sessions for conferences would incur a higher honorarium.
** To qualify for the non-profit rate your association must provide BC Crime Prevention Association with proof that you are a registered under the Society Act of BC.
***Mileage reimbursement:
Where the total mileage measured from BC Crime Prevention’s office to the presentation venue and return exceeds 35kms, the excess is charged at 0.45c per kilometer (requestor is invoiced after the event).
